Course Overview:
The incidence of cirrhosis and liver cancer are increasing and are responsible for more than 40,000 deaths annually in the United States. The Liver Transplant Center at Westchester Medical Center, flagship of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), and the American Liver Foundation, are hosting a symposium for medical professionals on advances in the management of liver cancer. The conference will improve participants’ understanding of the screening and diagnosis of liver cancer, as well as treatment options, including interventional radiology, medical therapy, hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation. Additionally, participants will learn about diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer in pediatric patients.
