Previously, in Washington, DC, Dr. Panza held appointments as director of the Division of Cardiology at Washington Hospital Center; director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program at Georgetown University Hospital Washington Hospital Center; and professor of medicine (cardiology) at Georgetown University.
Dr. Panza is a graduate of the School of Medical Sciences at the National University of Rosario, Argentina.
He completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology at the Italian Hospital, Buenos Aires; and held a Clinical Research Fellowship in the Cardiology Branch of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Panza is certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the Association of Specialty Professors.
